Saving an Animal's Life Can Be a Rewarding Treat
Welcome to Animal Fair's AF Cares! We founded our community in 1999 to promote fairness to animals and animal rescue. When we started over 12 million shelter animals were being euthanized yearly and our goal was to find each and every shelter animal a loving home, since then that number has reportedly dropped to 5 million. At Animal Fair AF Cares you can become informed about volunteering at a local shelter in your community where you can make a difference. Our intention is to promote people and organizations that are going above and beyond to provide a better place in the world for animals. We invite you to submit your shelter’s information and a heartwarming story about one particular rescue animal for our “Mutt Makeover (small tm)” contest! When entering the “Mutt Makeover” contest we request “before and after” shelter photos of the rescued animal (including names, breed), whether or not the pet has been adopted or still needs a home, and the rescue story. We will feature one weekly winner, including their story and photos on our site. After reviewing all submitted rescue tails, one lucky dog and their guardian will win the “Mutt Makeover” Grand Prize, a pet-friendly trip to New York City for the winning rescue animal and their guardian! Join our celebrity friends Charlize Theron, Renee Zellweger. Drew Barrymore, Halle Berry and many other celebs with big hearts that have all adopted animals and rescue a shelter pedigree or a mutt! Or donate to a local shelter in your community and let’s make every community a no kill community.
